This is where East London turns suburban. Mostly 1930s semis, some larger detached houses, and pockets of Victorian stock near the station. Gardens are bigger, houses are wider, and the construction is different from everything to the south.
D is common on an unimproved 1930s semi, with C very achievable once the cavity is filled and the loft brought up to depth.

The interwar stock here was built with a cavity. If yours is unfilled, cavity wall insulation is genuinely the cheapest meaningful improvement available to you — the opposite of the situation in Leyton or Forest Gate, where there is no cavity at all.
Plenty of houses here still have their original single glazing in steel or timber frames. It is one of the larger heat losses on the survey and one of the more expensive things to fix, so it is worth seeing the numbers before deciding.
