These terms cover your use of the Envirocept website and the services you can book through it. By submitting a form on this site, you agree to the points below.
The Soft EPC Review is an estimate, not a certificate
The free online Soft EPC Review gives a rough, algorithmic estimate based on the answers you give — it is not a legally valid Energy Performance Certificate and cannot be lodged on the government register. Only an on-site assessment carried out by an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor can produce a lodgeable EPC.
Booking a survey
Domestic EPCs are booked and paid for online. The price shown is the full price including lodgement — there is no VAT to add. Your slot is reserved as soon as payment clears, we call you to agree an exact time, and the certificate is lodged on the government register within 48 hours of the assessment being carried out. Changing the date is free. Cancelling is not: a full refund applies only within 4 hours of booking, after which a £35 late-cancellation charge applies, and inside the final 8 hours the booking is non-refundable though we will always reschedule it free of charge. Commercial, retrofit and other services are quoted first. These vary with the size and complexity of the building, so submitting the enquiry form sends us a request rather than confirming an appointment. We will come back to you with a price and payment terms before any work is carried out or anything is charged.
Assessor and subcontractor applications
Submitting an application does not itself create any contract or offer of work. Any subcontracting arrangement is only formed once we've verified your accreditation, insurance and right to work, and agreed terms with you directly.

We take reasonable care in everything we publish on this site, but the general information on it (blog articles, EPC band data, cost estimates) is provided for guidance only and shouldn't be relied on as a substitute for a proper on-site assessment or professional advice specific to your property.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
