Role Overview

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 Certificate in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment (NDEA)
• Active accreditation with an approved scheme (Elmhurst, CIBSE, Sterling)
• Commercial Assessor Registry ID

Requirements

• Valid Right to Work in the UK
• Active Public Liability (£2M+) & Professional Indemnity insurance
• Own transport and willingness to travel within the region
• Equipment: Professional laser measure, tablet/iPad, digital camera
• Experience reading floor plans and architectural CAD drawings
• Valid basic DBS check

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Inspect commercial premises, identifying HVAC systems, lighting profiles, thermal zones, and fabric.
• Review building blueprints, mechanical layouts, and HVAC schematics.
• Use SBEM calculations or DSM software to model building performance.
• Deliver final commercial EPCs and Recommendation Reports to commercial owners and landlords.
